Residence for two retired professionals at the Hartebeerspoort dam.
Project Brief: Create a peaceful retreat that maximizes on the phenomenal view of the mountain and dam. Create a flexible space that works for two people but can also accommodate a much bigger family.
Core Concept: The house is shaped like a ‘u’ in order to retain it’s privacy from the street but allowing for a clear view of nature.
Keep the existing trees and shrubs to grow a mature English garden. A double-volume living space with exposed trusses provides a sense of light and space.
